During my time as artist in residence with neo:artists, I emersed myself within Bolton’s urban environment. I created a short 3-minute 46-second video using 794 photos taken during a circular 2-mile traverse. It could be suggested that this is a physical photographic note taking, looking at how I move around the urban landscape, where I look, what route I take, what things stick out to me and ultimately how I create a sense of knowing where I am.
After the video, I then took some of the images to the etching process where I then created the series, ‘Traversing Bolton‘.
